Terrific – the new site looks great.
i love the new blog and the gingerbread cookies! i agree that making holiday cookies should be enjoyable and not stressful, though i tend not to follow that advice. i usually set aside an entire weekend in december to baking cookies and these are our treats for friends, coworkers, the mailman, our accountant, and anyone else we want to keep in good spirits. this year i made 16 varieties of cookies, down from 20 last year (much more reasonable and i was actually able to enjoy myself). i watch christmas movies and have my own private tv show marathons (last year was gilmore girls, this year my guilty pleasure: dawson’s creek). twenty-two sticks of butter and too much taste-tested cookie dough later, i had about a thousand cookies. my only disappointment this year was the lime meltaways from the martha stewart cookie book. my fault, not hers. i forgot the lime zest so they were like little pucks of dried flour. but they looked pretty.
