This is my new favorite dessert. Hands down the best cake I’ve ever made, and probably also the most dangerous…That’s because you cannot stop eating it, and this is coming from a person who is rarely tempted by dessert. The crumbly, caramelized, brown sugar top, the moist cake below. The stuff is like a drug. A delicious gateau drug.

Have You Had Brown Sugar Cake?
I’ve thought about adding sliced apples (jonagold? honeycrisp?) to the batter to make it completely autumnal and a bit fruity, but that’ll have to wait for the next one.
This one we ate as is (although a side of good vanilla ice cream would be nice too).
