I’m on Dr. Oz!!

IMG_0338So I was waiting until the last minute to share this news, but last week I was asked to appear on the Dr. OZ show! I taped a segment on healthy makeovers of favorite regional dishes, and made my version of California 8-Layer Nachos for Dr. Oz. It was a crazy-surreal day, with a fun glimpse into the backstage of daytime tv-land. I learned several interesting things, including the fact that Dr. Oz uses real organs for his demos (there was a brain used for one of the segments on my show).

Here is a link to the recipe that I made for the doctor heart-throb (and yes, his hair is just as spectacular in person).

And for any new visitors to the blog who watched the show, welcome! I’d love for you to stay and read my blog and become a regular visitor. You can also read more about my new cookbook KEEPERS, which is a family-friendly, weeknight cookbook that I co-authored with a friend and fellow mom. Here are some recipes from our book to try (on the house): Skillet Lasagna, Red Leaf Lettuce with Maple Walnuts and Blue Cheese, Japanese Beef with Carrots and Potatoes, Farfalle with Gorgonzola, Ham, and Peas, Crustless Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche,  Couscous with Dried Cranberries, Cashews and Orange.

Hope to see you back here soon for more food ideas and recipes!
