What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?

We are wrapping up the year with some last minute bubbly shopping, upside pineapple cake making (pineapples are good luck, yes? or are they the symbol of hospitality??), and I got a nice bag of Meyer lemons yesterday at Trader Joe’s so I’m thinking of making a batch of lemon curd for New Year’s Day breakfast tomorrow, maybe on top of ricotta pancakes…

It’s hard to believe another year of blogging, cooking, and writing is almost over, but I wanted to thank all of you out there for following my blog and being a part of my everyday food adventures. I’m looking forward to more in the next year!

I also wanted to show off the new Devil & Egg t-shirts! As modeled by Conor and Belle (the original devil and egg models).They were a Christmas gift from my dad and I’ve already sent one to my in-laws to take on their trip to New Zealand as a form of international advertising. If you’d like one let me know! But I’m also going to be having little contests throughout 2012 for a t-shirt prize.

In the meantime I will try and post my curd and cake before the ball drops–I won’t be cooking dinner this year because we’re going to ring in the New Year with friends up the street–but if I don’t get my posts in under the wire have a very happy New Year!! And see you in 2012!
